A memorable one! 

It was May 5th Saturday evening when I took the KSRTC bus from the Bangalore Majestic Bus Stand to Goa. The KSRTC Airavat buses are convenient and comfortable. Goa is about 550 odd kms from Bangalore. Bus is one of the most economical ways to get to Goa. My bus journey costed less than Rs.1000. I boarded the bus at around 7.30, We had a dinner stop around 10pm post which we headed straight to Goa.

Around 8.30 in the morning we reached the Margao bus stand. Right outside the bus Stand is the  Navrathna Veg Restaurant  where we went to freshen up. Had a quick breakfast before we left for our Hotel.

We then headed straight to our hotel in South Goa, Holiday Inn Resort. A 25 min ride took us to this place. We took a taxi which costed about 800 bucks. There are taxi's two wheelers available for rent all around the Margao Bus stand.

We were welcomed at Holiday Inn with a refreshing Kokum juice one of the delicacies of Goa.

 

We then headed to our room. It was a pool side facing room with all the necessary amenities. The property is beautiful with a well equipped gym. Access to the beach and multiple restaurants offering variety of cosines.

We had food went to the beach in the evening and attended a party at the Arabian Sea Lawns later during the evening.

Day 2 : 

Panjim / North Goa.

Outside the Holiday Inn you can get into a bus to Margao Bus stand from where you get buses to all of Goa. We got into the bus in less than 10 mins. From the Margao station we got a non stop  Kadamba bus to Panjim. 

At Panjim we visited the Kokni Kanteen, a place offering amazing Konkani delicacies. Kokni kanteen is a quick auto ride from the bus stand. The auto ride to this place was scenic passing across the Mandovi river cruises and the beautiful city lanes build in amazing European style. 

After lunch we took a bus and headed straight to the Baga Beach. North Goa has a lot of beaches eatery and lots of shopping. On our way back to the bus stand we spotted the "Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, Goa"

45 min bus ride and we reached Calangute Beach. We had a coffee at MCD to quench our thrust and relax in the AC for a bit :P . After which we headed to Baga. On the way to Baga you will spot a lot of Cafe's Shopping area and churches. 

Strolling we reached the Baga Beach our next stop was the Brittos.

Brittos is a sea facing restaurants cafe. We had a drink went to the beach walked down the Baga Calangute beach area and then went back to Brittos for a delicious sea food meal to end our day :)

             

From there we took a taxi back to our Hotel in South Goa.
