The Trip - Part 1

Rajasthan for the second time. But this time it was much more than just Jaipur.

A road trip!! 2100km in 8 days :)

Yes, it was chokro ki shadi. A friends wedding in Jodhpur and our much-awaited trip was all set to unfold. After many discussion yes no jaye na jaye we finally made it to Jaipur, the first destination from where "The Trip" began.

Jaipur in January is true bliss. A temperature between 10 to 14 in the evenings. Hailing from Bangalore I had never been to the northern belt during these months and truly enjoyed the chill weather.

We had a few hours in Jaipur on the first evening. OTH, On the house cafe followed by late night show(Dangal) at the Heritage cinema hall The Raj Mandir.

Day 1 of our Road trip! Jaipur - Jodhpur

Garam jalebi samosa and Pragya's favorite chai :) that was how it started. We then head straight to the Amir Fort. It's here Partro an old friend now an NRI joined us :P
Amir Fort or Amer Fort is a popular touristy fort in Jaipur. The sheesh mahal, Dewane Aam Diwane Khas, and the Mughal gardens.  This place is quite scenic and touristy. Most people who visit Jaipur make it to this place for sure. Our guide took some great pictures while walking us through the fort.

We then had to head straight to the NH8. It was chokro's shadi that night. But wait! Tarpri toh gaye hi nahi. A trip to Jaipur with friends without chai and firangi Maggi at Tapri would be so incomplete.

We then head straight to the wedding venue at Jodhpur. My first experience - A North Indian wedding. Chokro ki Barat :) The welcome drink "malai wala doodh (mewa milk / almond milk) :p" and a lavish spread that followed. WOW!

Trip Abhi Baki hai mere dost! Stay tune. More to follow.
